1/8” D2 Diamond Shear

The D2 Diamond Shear is made from D2 tool steel which is more abrasion resistant for a longer lasting edge and cleaner cuts. The blades are 1/8" thick; 1/16" thinner than the Standard Diamond Shear. Cuts made with thinner blade will cause less distortion of the glass. The handles are the same as the Standard Diamond Shear coming in two sizes Standard and Compact. The cutting capacity is slightly larger than the Standard Diamond Shear. The blades are hollow ground for easier cutting.

This shear has the same profile as the standard diamond shear. The only differences are the blades are D2 steel and they are hollow ground. Hollow ground blades are something new for me and I hope the shears perform better. Thicker blades (3/16 inch) will make the shear more robust for demanding situations.
